Need help?

Use the secure feedback form for bugs and product ideas. Email support for account, privacy, or sign-in help when the form is not suitable. We aim to review beta feedback within 3-5 business days.

Privacy warning

Do not send passwords, payment card details, one-time codes, recovery keys, or government identifiers. If you export a diagnostics bundle, review it before sharing. Diagnostics may include scan evidence, pricing status, and device-local logs.

Help topics

Choose the surface you use. Website Beta and Android Beta have different setup steps.

Getting started

  • Create or sign into your CardScanR account from the app or Sign in on the web.
  • Apply at Join the Beta and choose Website Beta or Android + Website Beta.
  • Website-only applicants do not need Google Play or an Android device.
  • Read Trust for how local storage, sync, and sharing work.

Website Beta

  • After acceptance, use the invitation email and open the experimental Website Beta surface.
  • Sign in with the same CardScanR account you use for the programme.
  • Website Beta focuses on catalogue search, collection browse, and management tools available in the current experimental release.
  • Camera scanning on Android is separate. Website Beta does not require Google Play installation.
  • Report website issues via Feedback or email support. Say that you are using Website Beta.
  • Some companion features are still rolling out. Collection cloud sync stays off for this programme unless product messaging says otherwise.

Android Beta

  • Android Beta access uses the Google account associated with Google Play on the tester device.
  • After approval, open the Google Play opt-in link from your invitation (not published on this page).
  • The Play listing may take time to appear after you join the closed test.
  • If the wrong Play account opens, switch accounts in the Play Store app and try again.
  • Install and update CardScanR through Google Play, then sign into the correct CardScanR account inside the app.
  • Android package for the Play release build: com.cardscanr.app.
  • Apply or update your programme choice at Join the Beta.

Signing in

  • On Android, confirm you are using the Play release package com.cardscanr.app.
  • If you cancel login or pick the wrong Google account, start sign-in again and choose the correct account.
  • After Google sign-in in the browser, return to the app. If the app does not open, use the OAuth return deep link cardscanr://login-callback or reopen CardScanR. See Sign-in return.
  • For email sign-in, check spam for verification mail and confirm the address is typed correctly.
  • On web, use Sign in with your CardScanR account.
  • Sign out does not delete your account or local collection data.
  • Contact support without sharing passwords or verification codes.

Scanning and identification

  • Camera scanning is an Android feature. Grant camera permission when prompted; without it, live scanning is unavailable (manual entry may still work).
  • Use good lighting and reduce glare; tilt the card slightly if reflections block the collector number.
  • Fill the on-screen guide with the card face; move closer when the collector number is hard to read.
  • If autofocus hunts repeatedly, hold steady, tap to focus if supported, or try gallery import.
  • Gallery import: choose a clear, flat photo of the card.
  • Review OCR text and match suggestions before saving. Correct errors in the review step.

Collection and sync

  • Missing card images: Catalogue artwork loads from reference URLs; check your connection and try again.
  • Incorrect card identity: Edit the entry or report via Feedback with card, set, and collector number.
  • Quantities and condition: Edit the item in your collection or binder view.
  • Binder completion: Confirm the binder template and that items are assigned to the correct slot.
  • Local-first: Inventory stays on-device by default on Android. Cloud sync is optional and opt-in when enabled for your account.
  • Cloud sync: When enabled while signed in, collection metadata can sync. Official apps do not upload raw scan photos through collection sync.

Pricing / Premium

  • Displayed values are estimates, not offers to buy or sell and not financial advice.
  • The app shows the pricing source and freshness where available. Stale prices may not reflect current market activity.
  • If a price looks wrong, note the card, set, source, and date shown, then report via Feedback.
  • During beta testing, Premium features are included for accepted beta testers. Public-launch prices on Pricing are targets, not a payment requirement to join the beta.
  • Do not make purchase or sale decisions based solely on in-app estimates.

Feedback and bug reporting

  • Primary path: Feedback form.
  • Say whether you are on Website Beta, Android Beta, or both.
  • Include app version (Android Settings → About), device or browser details, and steps to reproduce.
  • For Android issues, the Play package name com.cardscanr.app can help support confirm the build.
  • Never include passwords, payment details, one-time codes, or recovery keys.
